Glasgow Museums: Riverside Transport Museum and Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum

Saturday, 25th January 2025,  Price: £18

Our January 2025 coach trip visits Glasgow, taking in two of the city’s important galleries and museums.

The trip takes place on Saturday 25th January 2025. The price of ÂŁ18 covers all transport to, and admission to both museums.

First we’ll go on to The Riverside Transport Museum located on the banks of the River Clyde, where you will find an incredible array of objects from vintage cars to powerful locomotives. You can even walk down an old cobbled Glasgow street with shops dating from 1895 to the 1980s.

You can also visit the 125 year old tall ship Glenlee moored behind the museum.

Then on to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum which houses one of Europe’s great art collections. The scope of the museum is very wide ranging.

The Life galleries represent natural history, human history and prehistory. The Expression galleries include the fine art collections. Further highlights are Rembrandt’s ‘Man in Armour’, ‘Christ and the Adulteress’ by Titian and Salvador Dali’s ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’. Scottish art includes paintings by the Scottish Colourists and the Glasgow Boys.
